here for informational purposes. Any questions or problems concerning
any of the manufacturers, suppliers or their products should be directed
to the individual manufacturer or supplier.
NOTE:
The following list is by no means complete (see
owners manual
for complete equipment list for your boat) but it'll
give you a good idea of where to start looking for replacement parts.

items have been discontinued and some manufacturers have gone out

Pre-1980 Cape Dorys sported the following color scheme from the factory:
light blue non-skid on the deck and coach roof, red or blue boot stripe
[(Boot Top Seminole Red 593, Tarr & Wonson Copper
Paint of Gloucester (later by Gloucester Paints then Interlux)); (Boot
Top Endeavor Blue 16, Interlux), and blue bottom
paint [(Antifouling Blue 1222, Petit) or (Antifouling
Blue, EpoxyCop by Rule Industries (later by Interlux)].
Post 1980 Cape Dorys sported the following color scheme from the
factory: light tan non-skid on the deck and coach roof, dark brown
boot stripe [(Boot Top Dado Dark Brown 246, Interlux)],
dark brown cove strip (if present), and dark brown bottom paint [(Antifouling
Brown 1522, Petit) or (Antifouling Brown,
MicronCSC, Interlux)].
Merriman Yacht Specialties (found on the CD31 only) -- Merriman
went out of business in 1989. If you need a new wheel brake you may
be able to purchase a new one from HOW (Hunter
Owners Web). Doc Freeman's Marine Super Store in Seattle, WA had
purchased what was left of the Marriman Yacht Specialties inventory
but they have since gone out of business as well (in 2003).
